Omega Adds Customized Style to Vern Yip's Kitchen in HGTV Magazine
HGTV Magazine (March 2016) — Omega Cabinetry is featured in renowned interior designer Vern Yip's remodeled Atlanta kitchen in "A New Kitchen, Vern's Way," an article in HGTV Magazine's March 2016 issue.
The feature details how the popular HGTV designer cooked up a one-of-a-kind space. According to the article, the home's kitchen had a choppy layout, limited storage and crammed-together appliances. By combining a little-used seating area with the kitchen, Yip doubled the square footage to create more space to gather with his partner, Craig Koch, and their kids, Gavin, six, and Vera, five.
Omega custom cabinetry is incorporated throughout the renovated kitchen. Among the many standout features of Yip's kitchen design is an island constructed of Omega Clio door style cabinets in Maple with a Black Opaque finish, contrasted with a white countertop.
According to the article, "At 9 feet long, the island is the kitchen's natural gathering spot. Built by Omega Cabinetry, it features deep drawers and a Cambria quartz top that resembles marble but is impervious to spills — and Gavin and Vera's art supplies."
The island is pictured with other striking design elements that bring out the kitchen's black-and-white color scheme, including brushed aluminum counter stools, printed fabrics, and strong graphics, including striped walls.
The result, according to the magazine, is a family-friendly space with a look all its own. "I don't think you'll see another kitchen like it," Yip says.
Handcrafted with a personal touch, Omega Cabinetry offers infinite design possibilities with elegant, customized cabinets that are as beautiful as they are functional. Our dedicated craftsmen hand-select the most beautiful hardwoods in North America to create each individual piece by hand, in a way that highlights its unique beauty and reflects your vision. If you can dream it, Omega can build it.
