New Cabinet Products by Homecrest Cabinetry Feature Affordable Fashion for the Modern Homeowner

Extensive product lineup includes fresh new cabinet finishes, door styles, options for organization and personalization, and more

JASPER, Ind. (June 22, 2012) — Bringing a breath of fresh air to today’s kitchens, Homecrest® Cabinetry introduces an extensive lineup of cabinetry products, all designed to make affordable fashion a reality for the modern homeowner.

“Because we believe affordability needn’t come at the expense of creativity or quality, we introduce priced-right products that respond to consumers’ needs. With more new colors, more on-trend wood tones, more personalization and more organization options, it’s by design that we're creating fashion that’s relevant to today’s marketplace,” said Joel Culp, executive vice president of marketing and strategic planning, MasterBrand Cabinets, Inc.

Affordable by nature, fashionable by design

The new Homecrest product offering includes an array of cabinetry choices for homeowners, whether they are undertaking their first remodeling project, or wish to refresh their current living spaces with up-to-date styles. Highlights of the new product offering include the following fresh finishes, organization solutions, embellishments and door styles.  All are designed to offer the right look at the right price.

Fresh new finishes

Homecrest’s new cabinet finishes bring out the beauty of wood with the most up-to-date colors. Buckboard is a modern brown hue with ash gray undertones that delivers visual versatility and design flexibility. On-trend with color forecasts, it complements today’s cool neutrals. Chino finish is a hardworking, milky brown neutral designed to comfortably fit with a wide range of interior design styles. Sprout, a cool green opaque, meets today’s trend for using organic-inspired tones to create naturally calming spaces within the home. In addition, popular Homecrest finishes Chestnut, Sorrel and Bison are now available on Cherry, and the Onyx Opaque finish is now offered on value-priced Maple door styles.

Organization options

Several new Complements™ cabinet organization options make it a joy to work in every corner of the kitchen. For the kitchen sink, the workhorse of the kitchen, Homecrest offers the Sink Bottom Cabmat™, a heavy-duty rubber mat that helps protect the bottom of the sink cabinet from leaks and spills. In the dish storage area, the Pegged Dish Organizer offers an ergonomically enhanced solution for lifting stacks of heavy plates, allowing homeowners to lift them up from a drawer, rather than down from a wall cabinet. Another drawer option is the Cooking Utensil Divider, featuring an angled design for better storage and organization of longer-handled items such as grilling utensils and soup ladles.

Rounding out the organizational wonders is the new Base Mixer Cabinet, which frees up space on the countertop, yet keeps a large, chef-sized mixer within reach and even has a storage tray below to house mixing bowls.

Trend-forward door styles

Homecrest’s trend-forward cabinet door styles combine fashionable with affordable, to create beautiful kitchens. The new Hershing door answers the call for a clean, transitional style that accepts glazes beautifully. The modified full overlay features substantial wide rails and a slab drawer front, with a five-piece drawer option. It is available in Maple, Cherry, Oak and Hickory.

Other fashion favorites take on new lives as Homecrest expands wood choices to popular, existing door styles. For example, Cherry, a wood beloved by many for its upscale look, is now available with the traditional overlay Jordan door style.

And who says other venerable wood types can’t be taught new tricks? Two other classic woods – Oak and Hickory – have been given a bold makeover with the Dover door’s fashionable wide-rail shaker style, available in Maple, Cherry, Oak, Hickory and Rustic Hickory.

Finally, nothing provides dimension and depth quite like a detailed door front to give more design appeal to an overall space. Homecrest answers this call by making a five-piece drawer front available on two of its popular doors styles, Ogilby and Jordan.

Extraordinary embellishments

Homecrest introduces more cabinet embellishments for homeowners who want to personalize their cabinetry with a unique look. There are 19 new tiles, inserts, crown mouldings, corbels, rosettes and inserts to choose from, available in a variety of design motifs to complement homes with the Mission, Arts and Crafts, Old World and Classic Revival architectural styles.
